Educational Pathway Planning
Your whole educational journey, planned as one roadmap.
Admissions, transfer, academic advising, HBCU pathway advising, FAFSA, scholarships, graduate school — School of Bee Higher Education Consulting Firm plans all of it together, not one piece at a time.
Founded by Bria "Bee" Sykes, M.Ed. — higher education administrator and Ed.D. student researching community-college-to-university transfer mobility.
Every stage of the journey, connected into a single plan.
Admissions consulting stops at the acceptance letter. Pathway planning doesn't.
Most consultants help with one application. We build the plan that connects high school, community college, transfer, a bachelor's degree, and whatever comes after — so every decision is made with the next five years in mind, not just the next deadline.

Who We Serve
Every student is welcome here — with particular depth in a few areas.
Community college students
Transfer planning, degree mapping, and credit strategy for the segment that's the heart of our practice.
First-generation students
Guidance for students and families navigating admissions, financial aid, and degree planning without prior experience of the system.
High school students
College planning, admissions strategy, and FAFSA guidance well before senior-year deadlines hit.
Graduate & professional school-bound students
Planning for the next degree, not just the current one — law, medicine, seminary, or a doctoral path.
Plus — HBCU pathway advising, informed by our founder's own doctoral research on community-college-to-university transfer mobility.
Bria "Bee" Sykes is an educational consultant, higher education professional, nonprofit leader, and current Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) student whose work centers on educational access, transfer mobility, student success, and higher education leadership. Her doctoral research on transfer mobility from two-year community colleges to four-year universities is one specialization within a much broader practice — she works with students across every stage of the educational pathway, not just transfer students. Her professional background spans admissions, student success, partnerships, higher education administration, community colleges, universities, and nonprofit leadership.
Her own educational path ran through community college, university transfer, and graduate study — the same pathways her clients are navigating now. That's not a coincidence; it's why School of Bee Higher Education Consulting Firm exists.
Areas of focus include college admissions planning, educational pathway planning, community college success, transfer mobility planning, HBCU pathway advising, graduate and professional school preparation, FAFSA guidance, scholarship planning, student success consulting, and partnership development in higher education.
Client Stories
Real results. Real students.
I applied to 10 top-50 schools and got into 7 of them. I came back when it was time for law school — and I'm now a 1L at a top-50 law school while working as a top-earning senior paralegal at my firm. Bee helped me build a strategy, not just submit applications.
I stopped out of undergrad for several years and didn't know how to get back on track. Bee identified the right program for me, helped me get admitted, and her transfer credit evaluation meant I walked into my advising meetings already knowing what counted. I finished my degree.
I was a teacher who wanted to go to graduate school. On my own, I wasn't getting in anywhere. With Bee's expert guidance, I was admitted to several programs I was excited about. I'm now an active grad student doing the work I was meant to do.
I came to the U.S. with a degree from another country and needed to change careers without starting over. Bee helped me figure out exactly what I wanted, narrow it down to one investment, get into a certificate program, and land my first job offer in the field. I've since moved into a leadership role.
